Over the last few days, I have had the chance to talk to a few of my friends. Just getting the chance to hear from them, laugh a little and talk about a few things we are going through, I had a sense that I could get through another day. We all have stress. And now that the holidays are near, the stress is amplified. But sometimes, you just need that one person you trust to get through the day. That person or people that understand a little of what you go through. Sometimes, you just need a friend to talk to.
Stress of Life
Life is already full of stress. Work is stressful enough trying to get a job done so you can make a living. Add in family and children needing care and support around the clock. Now, there are the holidays coming up that places pressure and unwanted memories and thoughts. Trying to get through the day becomes harder each day we wake up. (As long as we continue to wake up and get out of bed…)
This time of the year is hard for many people. The reminder of missing family and friends. Or the reminder of not having much in our lives to be able to give like we want. The holidays should be a time of joy and warmth. But for too many, it is a time they wish they could forget about. Wrapped up in our lives, it is hard for us to find time to care for others.
Reaching out to friends
I advocate all of time about reaching out to those you may not have spoken to much, just to let them know you still care. I write this blog to let my readers know that they are not alone in their crazy mixed-up life. But it is so much more than that. It is something my friends were able to do for me lately. It is offering those you love the opportunity to be cared about. The reminder they are loved in this life. Too many of us are going through each day wondering if anyone cares. Wondering if they would be missed if they were not around.
I have been blessed with a few special people in my life that have been there when I needed them. They were there when I didn’t know I needed them. And they know I am there if they need me. Knowing that I can fully trust them with my problems, my stresses, and knowing that I have a judgement-free environment with them, makes it so much easier to talk. Much easier to open up. Easier to release the tension I hold daily.
Caring and Loving
I hope you are able to find someone in your life that you can trust. The one person or those people that can see when you need to laugh so you don’t cry. Someone that offers you an outlet to get some stress off your shoulders. Because we all need someone to turn to. We could all use someone that understands what we go through. Someone that reminds us, we are not alone. That we are loved and cared about. To remind us that someone does worry about us. And that they want to see us happy one day. That there is goodness in our life. Because I care about you. I hope that one day you will be happy. That one day, you will experience goodness in your life.
