It is the night of all nights. When kids are super excited and the parents are exhausted. Christmas is that time of the year that can bring joy and love to your heart. The power of Christmas shows that family and friends care and are thinking of you. Even in today’s pandemic, a phone call or even drive by can lift the spirits of those close to us.
Christmas also has the power to bring some sadness. It can remind us of those family and friends that are unable to be with us. To remind us of those that we have lost along the way this year and years prior. Christmas can also remind some of us that do not have any family or friends at all. The beauty of this time of year has the power to bring out the tears.
Wishes of Grandeur, Wishes of the Simple
Whether you are 5 years old or 50, Christmas time is the time of wishes. Toys, clothes, maybe a new bike. Wishes of the young bring joy to their little faces. Love, hugs, just to be noticed. Wishes that bring happiness to all. Food, clothing, warmth, and shelter. Wishes of those in need to bring comfort to a small part of their lives. Wishes of our own and wishes for those we love and those we have never met. Christmas gives us a chance to grant a wish for someone in our lives and for someone we have yet to meet.
A Merry Christmas to all of you. Those in my life and those I hope to meet in the future. May you have your wishes granted this Christmastime and may love warm you through your many years to come.
Now, here are some things to make you laugh this year.
With great warmth,
