Growing up as the youngest and the only girl of the family, I learned and experienced a myriad of events throughout my life. I turned to writing poetry and short stories to express my emotions while in high school and starting college. When work life increased, my writing decreased. Now in my 40’s, I am back!
I wanted to start this blog for a few different reasons. First, I love to write. I started my poetry and lyric writing again, but I wanted to do more. Then as we all went through this crazy time of COVID-19, I found many of my friends and family needing a shoulder. As I have also gone through depression and anxiety (and at times still do), I wanted to reach out to others. Many have told me I have the patience of a saint and an ear to hear it all. So, I created Mind Over the Edge.
“I want to give a piece of my life and heart to others in hope that anyone who reads this knows and understands, they are not alone in this weird world. Yes, we are all unique and special. We are also similar. We are characters in each other’s lives and even the smallest character can shape a person’s story.”
