I have been playing a game online with many people from all over the world. Recently we had a fight on the game that had many people breaking trust and fighting within their groups. Emotions ran high for everyone. Some people felt the stress was too much and left the game. I was almost one of them. But I found in trying to build back from this fight, that there is a time in which you fight and a time in which you stop and move on. When you hold onto your drive for more, and when you fold up knowing there is no good from dwelling on it.
Running Hot
When someone places a large amount of effort, time, and money into a project, it is only reasonable that emotions run hot too. Whether it is a work project, a game, or even the recent US elections, a person easily invests everything they have into it. So, when it doesn’t go the way you want, all of that energy gets expelled. Then suddenly, too many people are running hot. Anger, frustration, and hurt flood in.
When anger and hurt are expelled, it can be a good thing or a bad thing. You see, you should never keep your feelings locked inside. Especially when they are explosive in nature. I relate it to a garden hose. The water is pouring out. Too much would flood the garden. Too little or blocked, you risk the hose bursting.
Frigid Cold
When someone tries to hold back all emotions, you become cut off and frigid. Blocked off from letting anything or anyone help them through the turmoil. This too is no way to live. Whether you are hot of cold, there needs a balance to find your way out.
Balance
I have found in many occasions that being in the moment I need to let my emotions out. I have had my breakdowns, this past week there were 2 days of them. But I also understand that there are things in my life that I can control and many that I cannot. I do not have the power to go back in time. All I can really do is learn from this experience and find a way to move on. I can get upset and hold onto the grudge, but all that gives me is more pain and for a longer time.
When you find yourself in those situations of stress, hurt, anger and more, take a minute to feel all of the feelings. But you need to find a balance. A way to let go of the negative and find a positive. Something to show that you will get through the stress. Because we all deserve to find our way to a happier life. And always reach out to someone if you ever need the little extra help in finding your way. Love you all.
